About
Hello, I’m George.
I’m George Bellamy, and I’m building Brieosync in the UK. I’m a hardware person, and this is where I share what I’m making.
What I’m building
My first product is Continuum, a wireless audio mod for the iPod Classic (5th, 6th and 7th generation). It fits inside the case, alongside the original hard drive, and connects with thin flex ribbons into the iPod Classic’s own connectors, so there’s no soldering.
It’s still in prototyping. Prototype 1 is on the bench, and I’m planning more.
Why
I want to give the iPod Classic a wireless option without taking anything away from it. The original hard drive stays. The wired headphone jack stays. Nothing gets soldered.
If Continuum turns out the way I’m hoping, I’d like to make it available to other people who’d like the same thing. There’s no rush, and I’d rather get it right.
About the name
Brieosync is the company, and Continuum is its first product. Future products won’t all be for the iPod Classic, so the name isn’t either.
Say hello
