Privacy notice

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Plain-language draft. This notice is a draft for George to check and may change before the site goes live.

I’m George Bellamy, and I run Brieosync Ltd (“Brieosync”, “I”, “me”). This notice explains what happens to your personal data if you join the Brieosync mailing list through this website. Brieosync Ltd is the data controller.

What I collect

Your email address. That’s all the sign-up form asks for. Kit may also record basic technical details about the sign-up, such as when it happened.

Why I collect it, and my legal basis

I use your email address to send you updates about Brieosync and the products I’m building, starting with Continuum. I only do this because you chose to sign up, so my legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who else handles it

The mailing list is run through Kit (kit.com), an email service provider. When you sign up, your email address is stored and processed by Kit on my behalf, and Kit sends the emails. Kit may process data outside the UK. I don’t sell your data or share it with anyone else for marketing.

How long I keep it

I keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. If I stop running the mailing list, I’ll delete the list.

Unsubscribing

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you’ll be removed from the list. You can also just email me at info@brieosync.com and I’ll remove you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal data I hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to how I use it; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

Email info@brieosync.com and I’ll get back to you. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. I’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies

This website doesn’t set any cookies of its own and has no analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts are hosted on the site itself rather than loaded from a third party.

The one exception is the sign-up form. It is provided by Kit, so when a page with the form loads, your browser fetches a script from Kit’s servers, and Kit may set a small cookie (or use your browser’s local storage) to recognise a subscriber, for example once you’ve signed up. I don’t use it for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work. See Kit’s privacy policy for how Kit handles data.
